Most of the products you use everyday in your life acn be recycled. These products are classified according to their raw material. If you separate your garbage in these materials, you will make easier the recycling process.
Paper: The paper sheets that have already been used, as well as cardboard, are crushed and turned into pulp. With it they produces more paper, but in lower quality. This helps to reduce the felling of trees and preserve ours forests.

Metal: The metals are collected and classified (iron, steel, aluminum, etc). Sometimes they have to be separated by chemical processes. The metals are melted and molded to be used again in cans, keys, cars, etc...
Plastic: Plastic is made from crude oil, which is a non-renewable resource. There too much different types of plastics, but 95% of the bottles are made with the types PE, PVC and PET. The plastic is sorted, cleaned and crushed before being molded and used in new products.
Glass: Glass is classified according to quality (the colorless is of higher quality) and grinded. They use the little pieces of glass to make new glass, mixing it with new material. Some recycling plants produce new glass with 75% of recycled glass.

Textiles: The fibres are classified according to their quality. The natural fibers such as cotton or wool are of high quality. They remove buttons and zippers, and the fiber is disrupted so they can be re-spun.
